United Airlines
Branding, Visual Identity
About
United Airlines has faced significant challenges, from the impact of 9/11 to a merger with Continental that led to the loss of its iconic branding. In 2017, a passenger incident further damaged its reputation, making rebranding essential to restoring trust and redefining its identity.
Inspired by the pre-merger “tulip” logo, the refreshed design incorporates a red, white, and blue palette, with a brighter blue symbolizing clear skies, optimism, and improved service. Through this update, United’s visual identity is reshaped to reflect a stronger, more customer-focused future.
